At first we have to know what is a Web Development and then what does a web development do?
WHAT IS A WEB DEVELOPMENT:
Most of the people were confused between design and development but designing and development both are different. The web development is the programming which enables the web site functionally. The Web development work out with Web design , Web content development, client side/ server side scripting and network security configuration, among other task. Web development is also known as website development.

It is a process of writing , gathering, organizing, researching and editing information for publishing on your website. In it you have explorer the idea of your business on your web site.
CLIENT SIDE /SERVER SIDE SCRIPTING:
client side scripting basically works on HTML or XHTML document it is also known as "embedded script" on the other hand server side scripting works on language like Java, PHP, C#.
